BACKGROUND

      Twelve years ago during Operation
      Desert Storm, the military newspaper"Stars & Stripes"printed
      the lyrics to Juice Newton's "Keepers of the Peace,"
      to show support for our American troops. As citizens once again
      step forward to show their patroitism and gratitudeor the service
      men and women of the U.S. military, "Keepers Of The Peace"
      is once again a very fitting and timely song.

      Juice and her band were invited
      to play for the troops across Germany during the Gulf War and
      felt a special song needed to be written for the occassion and
      "Keepers of the Peace" was born. Never one to jump
      on a bandwagon for a popular, or unpopular cause, the song has
      never been marketed, recorded, or shopped to radio, but now people
      familiar with its origins are asking for it again.

      "Keepers Of The Peace"
      illustrates the necessity for tolerance, the "right to express
      what we believe" as well as giving a big thank you to those
      who put their lives on the line for us and our country.

      Juice, a Grammy Award winner
      best known for "Angel of the Morning," "The Sweetest
      thing," and "Queen of Hearts," is the daughter
      of a Korean War Navy Vet. Juice grew up in Virginia Beach,VA,

      the work the military has done for our country.
